Violinist, Guest Artist
Marcia Henry Liebenow is a professor of Violin, Viola & Chamber Music at Bradley University, and Concertmaster of the Peoria Symphony. She is in demand as a recitalist, chamber musician, soloist and teacher. She has performed with orchestras in Europe and throughout the United States. American Public Media’s Performance Today has highlighted her talents on many occasions. Audiences feel her enthusiasm.
She is a founding member of the Concordia String Trio and the River City String Quartet and has recorded two CD’s with her Concordia String Trio, as well as the Grieg Violin Sonatas with pianist Antonio Pompa-Baldi.
In the summer, Marcia is a faculty artist at the Birch Creek Music Festival in Wisconsin, the Red Lodge Music Festival in Montana and has presented Master Classes at the ARIA Summer Academy in Massachusetts and Canada. She is famous for her ‘pop-up’ driveway concerts for her neighbors! Welcome back Marcia!
