Cellist, Guest Artist
A passionate and dedicated soloist, chamber musician and teacher, Karen Becker’s career has taken her around the world to Brazil, the Czech Republic, England, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Switzerland, Viet Nam and throughout the United States. A member of the Concordia String Trio, her recordings can be found on Spotify and iTunes under the Centaur label. Dr. Becker is a Professor of Cello at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is the principal cello for the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra.
She is also a faculty artist for the Red Lodge Music Festival in Montana and participates in festivals all over the world. Karen received her Doctor of Music Arts and Master of Music degrees from the University of Texas and her Bachelor of Music degree from Ohio University. An avid cyclist, she enjoys endurance cycling and participating in century rides.
