Support a Chair
Patrons and friends of the BSA may donate to a named chair to support all or part of its operating costs.

Donors may fund a chair in perpetuity by giving an amount that will produce the annual income needed for its support. The donation becomes part of the BSA Endowment and investment earnings pay the chair's annual costs.

Alternatively, patrons may choose to make annual donations to directly support a chair.

How Supporting a Chair Helps
Costs for the Concertmaster, principal oboe, principal cello and other chairs must be covered by funds within the orchestra's budget.

Donations specified for a named or endowed chair will support the orchestra's costs for that chair and make the BSA budget stretch further.
The Harold "Pete" Godtland Concertmaster Chair (2015)
The BSA Board of Directors established the Harold "Pete" Godtland Concertmaster chair to honor his years of performance service by Harold Godtland. "Pete" is the only currently performing musician who was a founding member of the Butte Symphony in 1950.

To become a supporter of the “Concertmaster Chair”, click the "Donate Now" button below. Donations in any amount are welcome, however, the suggested donation is $65.

Donors may also send checks directly to the address at the bottom of this page. If you are interested in endowing the chair in perpetuity, call the office at 406-723-5590.
